A.M. Cassandre

A.M. Cassandre was a painter, commercial poster artist and typeface designer. In 1929 Cassandre developed Bifur and was sponsored by French type foundry Deberny & Peignot. Thru it’s mixture of fat and thin lines and crossbars, it came ahead of it’s time in the world of typography.
